Watching the Disney princess music video on a Cinderella DVD. "Every girl can be a princess, fashion can be learned," what the shit am I listening to.

Watching animated films all day, especially of stuff I have last seen when I was less than 13-years-old like Toy Story and Cinderella. I was surprised to find myself genuinely liking Cinderella. Though sometimes I pretended that all the talking birds and mice are just Cinderella's own delusions caused by extreme loneliness and isolation.

Making a makeshift little nest for my cat who has to stay in the cold garage.

Renewing my LJ account. Only subscription of anything online well-worth the money.

Putting lights on the Christmas tree even though it's days past Christmas. I love the ambience.

Mello's Verrry Belated Birthday Gift

Thank you for your encouraging words, f-list.

They really pumped me up to finish this as fast as I could. I actually kinda started flipping out by the end of the 2nd day after Mello's birthday because I hadn't yet finished. But, I realized that instead of rushing this, that I'd like to make this look as nice as possible. This is why this took so long.

I still have muchhhhhh to learn when it comes to making comics like this but I think of this as another step in my development.

TBH, I'm kinda shy about posting this because I'm not sure how I feel about it exactly. I hope it's enjoyable in some way at the very least. ^^

TIME TO BEGIN THE BATTLE

Only yesterday have I finally finished coming up with the end of the short comic and only last night have I finished penciling in the comic (Wisely drawn on cheap waxy notebook paper) and this afternoon I scanned them in and removed the blue pencil marks using Photoshop magic and wizardry.

9 pages in total!

Surprise, it looks terrible so I'm drawing over it in SAI.

So, Mello, I'm afraid this gift will be belated.

And now I will ink 9 pages as quick as I can. I once wrote a 17-page final paper in two days, I can do this. B)

THE REASONS:

1. A Train and a Tangle by tierfal - If any of you have the slightest interest in Gevanni/Near than stop whatever you're doing and read this fic!

My god, it's so wonderful. It's exactly how I see them and more--- tons more. It's basically about Gevanni noticing Near. Like, you know, noticing. The fear and the wonder and the faux-confidence and the excitement and the butterflies are beautifully crafted here in prose. There's a wonderful sense of touch throughout the fic too.

I wept like a baby after I read it. OH MY GOD I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. *BAWWW* This fic made my life. Sorry if this is embarrassing in any way, tierfal. God knows I get flustered when I see people rec anything of mine.

2. The Sute-tan pchat logs are up on Ms. Tamaco's journal and they are FREAKING EPIC. It includes JOJO!Gevanni (I DIED; there are also some other style I can't really identify but I like them; I think one of them is Kazuo Umezu though.), Little Halle and Gevanni (Halle sorta makes me think of Margot Tennnebaum when she started smoking at the age of 12), 37-year-old Gevanni x 28-year-old Near sex (fap fap fap) NSFW btw

Happy Birthday Near!

I spent the last couple days working on this meme. I'm not sure if I like it. At first I liked it, then I didn't, then I did again and now I'm unsure again. It's a well... I'm not sure what it could be called but... maybe it's a 'sex faces meme'.

I just did it to see if I could. There's no real specific pairing but it's Near-centric. I don't usually post art in my journal but I don't imagine there are many places I can post this, hahaha.

Near's "Did you feel good?" panel makes me laugh. He's so cocky. ♥

Saw this meme on another site and decided it would be fun to do. I don't usually write fic cause I'm kinda insecure with writing.

1. Angst: "It is all right, commander Rester, that is not too personal a question at all," Near spoke, his voice default and consistent, "The last time I've ever truly felt sad was when I saw a dead cat at the age of seven -- Mello came close however, but I find that it's just a waste of time quite honestly,"his busy fingers briefly paused for a moment; they whispered.

2. AU!: Near threw the photos to the ground, "Gevanni, these are horrible! There's not a single shot of his face," Near glanced down at the pile of photos with second thoughts and took a few, tucking them into his pocket,

3. Crack!fic: The next day Kal Snyder had crowned his head with a garland of castrated posies, daisies and every single flower he could find; he twirled and skipped and turned and, with his hands clasped together, he sang with starry eyes, "OH MARILLA! MATTHEWWW! OHH I caaaaaaaaan't believe you got me a NEWWWW DRESS! AND. With PUFFY SLEEVES!"

4. Crossover: "Uhhh... oh! Yes," Gevanni cleared his throat and quickly summoned composure, "It appears this man is a well-known unlicensed doctor by the name of..... --well his name escapes me at the moment. He goes around performing medical miracles while charging outrageous fees. Do you... want me to do something about him?"

5. First Time: After a long day of avoiding him, Near grabbed Gevanni by his necktie and pulled him into a storage closet, "Mr. Loud, I understand that you may feel some shame but please don't let it impact the quality of your work."

6. Fluff: Mello smacked Near's messy head of hair with a rolled-up newspaper, "That's nice, but you didn't answer my question. Do you want scrambled eggs or not? We also have this... cereal fruit... thing --or whatever. So, yeah, make a decision fast."

7. Humor: Halle jabbed Gevanni in the shoulder, "Cheer up, Stephen, it's not all that uncommon to be asked out on a date in exchange for a lead. I've done it before," she cleared her thoat with a grin, "Though...never with a teenage girl. Just don't do anything illegal, neh? Hahaha, I think it's cute."

8. Hurt/Comfort: Now, Near was never too terribly close to Gevanni, but he was a valuable employee and something of a comrade so he felt it appropriate to visit him in the hospital (Though, he had to pull some strings just to see him), "Please get well soon," Gevanni was asleep however, and, for no real reason, Near brushed away strands from his eyes and forehead; He was a very attractive man, he thought.

9. Smut: On the elevator, Gevanni wrapped his arms around Near's waist from behind and pressed himself against the petite boy, the heat in his own body intensified and he soon found himself grinding against Near and breathing in the scent of his hair,"God, you smell so good."

10. UST: Near took Gevanni's large, warm hand into his own and slowly traced his finger along the lines of his palm, "This line here indicates that you're constantly bossed around by others. This is true, don't you think?"

11. Straight: Just before heading off to work, Halle sat at the edge of her bathtub and smiled at the naked young man inside, "Well, aren't you going to turn on the water? It's been over an hour now,"; the blonde slowly returned her smile.

3. What do this guy and I have in common? We both love Anne of Green Gables.

4. Do yourself a favor and read or watch Black Jack. If you're going to watch it, I recommend the 1993 Black Jack OAV directed by Osamu Dezaki. It's a lot more serious than the most recent Black Jack TV anime and is about 10 episodes long with each ep roughly 45 minutes to an hour. The dub is actually pretty darn good (I believe the dub was done by the actual people who created the anime). However, it's difficult to find the DVDs (Especially since Central Park Media, it's distributor, went under recently) so I recommend finding it on Tokyo Tosho or maybe being awesome and buying the digital version on iTunes or elsewhere.

10. And it would go like this:
"I don't -- well, perhaps, that is true..." Gevanni nervously but cautiously retracted his hand from Near's and rubbed it as if he had burned it.
"I lied. There is no such line. ...Do I honestly make you feel that way?"
Gevanni blushed, overcome with embarrassment, "I-I never said that!"

Of course these are all Death Note-related with lots of Near and Gevanni, although not all of the drabbles involve them.

Two different kinds of people

Lately, my sleeping habits are all messed up. I tend to stay up all night. If I'm kind to myself, I let myself nap an hour before school. But, 85% of the time I just go to school without sleep. I get home around a 1:00 or 2:00 PM and mess around on the computer before going to sleep because I'm just so tired. I wake up around 8:00 to 11:00 PM about.

Hmmm, I don't know what to say about that really... I suppose it's not the healthiest sort of thing

I'm still trying to make sense of what to do with my lj and the blog attached to my site. I've already decided what they're both supposed to be for, individually (lj - personal stuff and rl; blog - art and fandom), but it's hard to go about it... Hopefully I can figure out the rhythm.

I got to talk to the dude who heads the cyber cafe. He's a really neat and sensible person who also keeps up with the anime seasons which is incredibly rare for me to encounter in real life.

There's one thing I've noticed though and I've noticed for such a long time. I have this habit of adopting this shy, meek, ultra-polite personality (And passive-agressive *cough*) when I go out in public by myself. It's irritating because it's hard to be assertive when I'm like that.

I mean, when I'm with familiars, I act a lot more like myself... I think. I tend to be more relaxed and outgoing.

Once, even! There was a small project at school where another student was supposed interview me over the phone and he remarked how I was so different on the phone---like night and day. :(

1. My sister's moving back in with us. I'm actually pretty happy about it, but I have a feeling it won't be the same. But, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing yet. I'll have to see. \o/ Buuut, I'm excited that she'll spend the summer with us. I hope we all go out to dinner again. :') *nostalgic*

This was done for a meme:
1. Pick a fictional character that you like.
2. Draw him/her in what you wore today.

This drawing was mostly an experiment with non-photo blue pencil (GET THOSE; THEY ARE GODLY) and mixing traditional media with digital media.

A coloring of this little MSpaint sketch I did that was inspired by those doujinshi.

I still need to practice drawing Mello a lot more.

Really, Matt would probably be more fit this kind of thing, but the N64 thing was impromptu~
