Death Note Drabble meme
Saw this meme on another site and decided it would be fun to do. I don't usually write fic cause I'm kinda insecure with writing.

1. Angst: "It is all right, commander Rester, that is not too personal a question at all," Near spoke, his voice default and consistent, "The last time I've ever truly felt sad was when I saw a dead cat at the age of seven -- Mello came close however, but I find that it's just a waste of time quite honestly,"his busy fingers briefly paused for a moment; they whispered.

2. AU!: Near threw the photos to the ground, "Gevanni, these are horrible! There's not a single shot of his face," Near glanced down at the pile of photos with second thoughts and took a few, tucking them into his pocket,

3. Crack!fic: The next day Kal Snyder had crowned his head with a garland of castrated posies, daisies and every single flower he could find; he twirled and skipped and turned and, with his hands clasped together, he sang with starry eyes, "OH MARILLA! MATTHEWWW! OHH I caaaaaaaaan't believe you got me a NEWWWW DRESS! AND. With PUFFY SLEEVES!"

4. Crossover: "Uhhh... oh! Yes," Gevanni cleared his throat and quickly summoned composure, "It appears this man is a well-known unlicensed doctor by the name of..... --well his name escapes me at the moment. He goes around performing medical miracles while charging outrageous fees. Do you... want me to do something about him?"

5. First Time: After a long day of avoiding him, Near grabbed Gevanni by his necktie and pulled him into a storage closet, "Mr. Loud, I understand that you may feel some shame but please don't let it impact the quality of your work."

6. Fluff: Mello smacked Near's messy head of hair with a rolled-up newspaper, "That's nice, but you didn't answer my question. Do you want scrambled eggs or not? We also have this... cereal fruit... thing --or whatever. So, yeah, make a decision fast."

7. Humor: Halle jabbed Gevanni in the shoulder, "Cheer up, Stephen, it's not all that uncommon to be asked out on a date in exchange for a lead. I've done it before," she cleared her thoat with a grin, "Though...never with a teenage girl. Just don't do anything illegal, neh? Hahaha, I think it's cute."

8. Hurt/Comfort: Now, Near was never too terribly close to Gevanni, but he was a valuable employee and something of a comrade so he felt it appropriate to visit him in the hospital (Though, he had to pull some strings just to see him), "Please get well soon," Gevanni was asleep however, and, for no real reason, Near brushed away strands from his eyes and forehead; He was a very attractive man, he thought.

9. Smut: On the elevator, Gevanni wrapped his arms around Near's waist from behind and pressed himself against the petite boy, the heat in his own body intensified and he soon found himself grinding against Near and breathing in the scent of his hair,"God, you smell so good."

10. UST: Near took Gevanni's large, warm hand into his own and slowly traced his finger along the lines of his palm, "This line here indicates that you're constantly bossed around by others. This is true, don't you think?"

11. Straight: Just before heading off to work, Halle sat at the edge of her bathtub and smiled at the naked young man inside, "Well, aren't you going to turn on the water? It's been over an hour now,"; the blonde slowly returned her smile.

2. I think creepy Near is kinda cute. Can you guess who he's crushing on? 8D

3. What do this guy and I have in common? We both love Anne of Green Gables.

4. Do yourself a favor and read or watch Black Jack. If you're going to watch it, I recommend the 1993 Black Jack OAV directed by Osamu Dezaki. It's a lot more serious than the most recent Black Jack TV anime and is about 10 episodes long with each ep roughly 45 minutes to an hour. The dub is actually pretty darn good (I believe the dub was done by the actual people who created the anime). However, it's difficult to find the DVDs (Especially since Central Park Media, it's distributor, went under recently) so I recommend finding it on Tokyo Tosho or maybe being awesome and buying the digital version on iTunes or elsewhere.

7. I imagine a rich spoiled teenage girl and an overly-modest Gevanni.

10. And it would go like this:
"I don't -- well, perhaps, that is true..." Gevanni nervously but cautiously retracted his hand from Near's and rubbed it as if he had burned it.
"I lied. There is no such line. ...Do I honestly make you feel that way?"
Gevanni blushed, overcome with embarrassment, "I-I never said that!"




Of course these are all Death Note-related with lots of Near and Gevanni, although not all of the drabbles involve them.
